It’s 7:00 in the morning and the local farmers have been setting up their market stands since daybreak. Some don’t even have a stand but sell the produce directly from the back of their trucks. One truck is loaded with a mountain of dark purple eggplants, another one with thousands of bright golden pumpkins. This farmer is selling hot peppers by the kilo.
